i have what i'm pretty sure is a 69ss car.i'm completely restoring the car.the chassis is mostly done.i'm at the steering box now and have discovered i have a manual steer car.i know that you could order what you wanted ,and i also thought all ss cars had power steering.can anybody shed some light on this.thanks gary
No the '69 SS396 package didn't include PS nor was it mandatory. PS was a stand alone option available with any engine.

Mine is manual-steer too... also has a Muncie 3-speed. It's a very low-option SS396, but has buckets/console.
