Can somebody with a 70-72 check in their trunk for me. I need to know if the inner wheel house from the passenger side and the driver side meet at the trunk drop-off the same. It appears that the passenger side wheelhouse and drop-off meet, where as on the driverside, there's seems to be a gap between them. I'm replacing the driver wheelhouse, and just noticed the difference. Any help or picture's would be greatly appreciated. All seem's to be going well, but I guess this will tell. Thanks for the help, Dave.

One thing I've noticed about some of this replacement sheetmetal used in those areas, you have to use clamps on some of the pieces to draw them together. This was true of the rear seat floor pan when I welded it to the wheel houses. Not only that, I also had to shrink the wheel houses to get them to fit the contour of the pan. In the area you're talking about, mine look the same on both sides.

Thanks, Randy. I've come to find that by putting some clamps on it I can draw it together. I did notice that the trunk drop-off on the pass. side is about two inches wide and the driver side is about 1 inch wide. Got the wheelhouses screwed in place for now, will have to wait till I get my 1/4 panel to do the rest. Thanks for the help.

There should be NO GAP what so ever!!! If drawing them in tight with clamps doesnt eliminate that gap then you need to reshape the trunk ext with a hammer and dolly.
Any gap is just a place for dirt, moisture whatever to enter your trunk...Eric
