Well, i finally had time to get ll my parts. Stopped by my friends and picked up the edelbrock upper adj. control arms (FOR FREE!!! New in their box!!!) I was wondering, should i use the poly bushings they come with or should i buy rubber ones due to bind issues?
I went to OPG to get the rest of my parts and i had GREAT luck there today!!! Except for one thing, I was going to get a Poly Front end rebuild kit but their new price is almost $150 more than their catalog. So, i didn't get it, where would you recommend to check? Thanks!

Ok, i was thinking that. So i'll get rubber for those. For the rebuild kit, PST is good, right? I think i will be going with them! Yea, i was pretty lucky, i had to decide between finishing the suspension or engine and when my friend offere me the arms and a 1.25" front sway bar, i couldn't help but go with the suspension! Thanks again!

The Edelbrok adj uppers use a spherical end upf front. They only have a poly bushing for the axle end. The spherical end eliminates the "bind". So, I'd just use the bushings that came with the arms.

FWIW, I had Hotchkiss adj uppers with poly on both ends, and I changed to the edelbrocks. I used the poly bushings in the axle, and I still noticed a huge difference between the 2 brands of arms. I can only come to the conclusion that the Hotchkiss poly/poly was binding, and the edelbrock sphere/poly wasn't.

The spherical end eliminates the "bind". So, I'd just use the bushings that came with the arms. The bind is about equal on both ends, so the spherical eliminates about half the bind. There's still a considerable ammount of bind in that setup, so rubber would be a much-better option.

Why not just go directly to Summit and buy Energy Suspension bushings for the poly frontend kit. That's probably what you're going to get anyway. Go to http://www.energysuspension.com/index.html and get he P/N's or call their help line direct (I don't think they sell direct). Then call Summit and buy the PN's you were provided. Simple and cheaper.

BTW - the rubber bushings for the rear are usually available locally for about $7 to $10 a piece from NAPA, Auto Zone, etc.

Forget the poly and the rubber bushings. I got this bearing for my uppers, thanks to Dennis68. There is NO binding and they work great keeping everything from shifting. Here is the web link: http://www.wolferacecraft.com/detail.aspx?ID=187

I was thinking about the spherical bearings but mine is my daily driver, will that present a broplem!?

For a daily driver, I'd save $100 and use rubber.
