I used to have Ski Doo's, then went to an SRX Yamaha (yes, its been THAT long..... 1983)...... but I found out that I could travel in warmth when i got my license...... living here, you need to go north for the most part to get any decent riding in, factored with the price of the new sleds and I just can't afford any new hobbies (Motorcycles, photography, cars, woodworking)

I have had snowmobiles for years, usally can ride right from are property here, after the big freeze early on,its been about 10 degrees above normal so alot of snow has melted away(bummer!)mostly in to hill climbing, but as I get older I tend to be not as aggressive.

2 words......ARCTIC CAT. I haven't gone this year but my father owns a place near Hurley, Wisconsin where I keep my machines. This year's gonna be a PITA getting the sleds out of the garage, gonna have to dig through a couple feet of snow, lug out one of the boats, and then get in some ditch banging!!!!! JN

Every weekend between 12/31 and usually late march are at least 3day weekends with usually 1 full week and acouple 4 day trips. We usually go to Pittsburg N.H., and a trip or two to Caribou ME.
Oh and the sleds of choice are Polaris, made in the USA

If I'm going to be out in the snow, ice & cold ... it's going to be with a rifle, shotgun or fishing pole in my hand!

I have a 89 Polaris indy with the triple carbs. 650cc I believe. Its in pretty good shape but had a small fire under the hood and needs some wiring and all several hoses replaced. I traded a rusted out suburban for it. It even came with a trailer. Still havent gotten it running yet and I have had it for 3 years now. Still sitting on the trailer since I got it.
