: Difference between coupe and post filler panel

I have a 65 2 door post car and I need the filler panel that goes between the trunk and rear window. (Doesn't everyone?) I've read that there is a difference between the coupe and the post cars but just looking at pictures I don't see it. The roof looks the same to me along with the rear window. Also the rear quarters are different but I don't see why. The side profile of the roof looks the same but with the added frames for the glass. Anyone gone through this before?

Well, I finally answered my own questions. There IS a huge differance between the coupe and the sedan. The coupe rear window is squared off in the corners, sedan is rounded. The coupe "C" pillar is flush with the quater panel but surprisingly the sedan is stepped in about 1/2"(?) The filler panel is about 11" wide (window to trunk) on the coupe and about 8" on the sedan. I haven't measured yet but I bet the roof is longer on the sedan. It looks like the quater panels are the same from the body line down which is what I need for my sedan.

Hey Bob, Im sorry for the lack of giving you a response,as I havent check the board for awhile and would have answered if I had. You are correct with your findings, as I have the sedan model 65 myself, and love the difference in the way the sedan roof/pillars are shaped. Give the car a totally different look in my opinion. The only down side is finding body panels. Good luck!!!

I'm hoping to use the coupe quater panels but just the lower half.
