I have a 66 chevelle that originaly came with a four speed but the previous owner put in a 400 tranny instead & used a B&M shifter wich he had to cut out part of the hole in the hump inorder to get the shifter to work. I am going to leave the car an automatic & repair the hole with a new replacement peice from opg . my problem is i have the proper center console & shifter assy for the car but i am not sure if the hole for a 4 speed & an automatic are in the same location on the hump??? they are both floor shifts? but like i said i dont know for sure so any help would be appreciated thanks.
