I'm wondering if I have to replace the whole pass. side inner panel as it's rusted right below the battery tray. The rest of the panel is ok I think. With the questionable quality of the repop panels out there is there any way to save the factory inner panel?
Thanks, John

Do do believe there is a patch panel out there on the market for the area you describe. Check with the many resto supply houses and see.

NPD has one listed for $54.95 + S&H.

I used the patch panel from NPD about 3 years ago. No problems. I don't have a "show car", so I cut the old panel off at the seam where it connects to the rest of the inner fender, and pop riveted the new one on. Used POR 15 on the overlap before I pop riveted the two together. Painted the whole thing satin black, replaced the battery tray and been driving it ever since.
