Seams (no pun intended) like everybody post pics of the front of their cars, but nobody cares much about the rear.

I'm looking to see what was factory (seen cars done both ways) The joint at the top of the quarter running from the corner on the trunk to the corner of the rear window. Should this seam be visual or filled?

Any pics would be great. I've checked Nonecks sight in hopes he would have something. He did but my eyes aren't good enough to make out the area on any of his pic's

There is a seam there. when doing the body work that seam needs to be clean metal. Run a wire wheel up and down it, blast, whatever it takes to get it clean. I spray some good primer on it then a dab of seam sealer should go on to keep water from getting in there. Don't fill it smooth with sealer but run a little bead down it and wet your finger and drag it down/push it in. Then just walk away and don't touch it till it's dry.

Mike, Yours is a convertible right?
Then the seam is filled, from the factory they were lead seams, on the hardtop the seam is visible. Hope this helps.

PS I have never seen a convertible that didn't have a hairline crack at that seam.

Yes Jeff, my car is a convertible. Thanks for pointing that out. I should have included it in my post but didn’t know it mattered. You and 67shovel gave me a great education on the rear seam. Now I know about the hardtop/convertible difference.

Thanks
