: '65 convertable frame questions

Are the frames for the '64-'65 HT's the same as the convertables minus the the additional boxed portion that encloses the "c". In other words, if I had a straight HT frame would all I need to do is say box the frame like the factory and have a convertable frame?

If you can't find a vert' frame I think it would be less work to use an Elcamino frame.
They seem to be pretty plentiful and are boxed from the factory. You just need to shorten the last section of the frame aprox 4" Just use the original as a guide to how far to cut.
