Has anyone had problems with the chassis coat peeling. i used standard por-15 then topcoated with por semi gloss chassis coat about three weeks after. I just scuffed it and wiped it down, then applied chassis coat.

I just got of the phone to por tech support and he said he had the same thing happen to his lawn mower. He had to scuff and wipe of with por marine clean and reapply the chassis coat.

has this happened to anyone else? This is really a bumer the frame was all assembled and the body was going on as soon as energy suspension sent the right body mounts. no i have to dissasemble and scuff the frame.

thanks

From what I've seen, Por-15 doesn't like painted surfaces. It' best applied on scuffed bare metal or slight rusted metal with no paint. If let bare metal rust a little and the applied Por-15.

I did sandblast to bare metal the por-15 itself is not peeling the top coat por- chassis coat is.

my por15 peeled too, and i even applied it when my regular por15 was tacky like the directions read. for some reason my silver por15 turned to green and still chipped off! does anyone know if i did something wrong?!?
