Looking to get spray gun for personal use. I'm looking at FLG-615-318 which is a gravity feed with 1.4MM and 1.6MM tips. I have a friend who works for Sherwin Williams and he can get it for $116.61. Harbor Freight charges $159.00 for this gun. Any feedback or advice would be helpful, thanks.

I think you'll be happy with this gun, a friend of mine is very happy with his and I've tried it a few times with good results. High flow fittings really help this gun.

Thanks for the input guys. I have read several references too high flow fittings. Are these fittings something different than brass pipe fittings that you buy at Home Depot? Is a 50 foot hose to long for supplying the gun?

Hi-flow fittings are just your basic air fittings but the hole dia is BIGGER so you get more flow.
Think of it as comparing 2in exhaust pipe to 3in exhaust pipe.
You need to get both a new fitting for the gun and a coupler. Any body store place should have them or can get them. The tool truck guys(snap-on, MAC) also carry them.
A 50ft hose is fine as long as its 3/8" INSIDE dia and you have the proper pressure and volume. You also NEED to get a air regular with a pressure gauge to attach to the gun. That way you KNOW what pressure you have at the gun. Without knowing that you WONT get good results.

I have a finishline 3 hvlp gun and I love it I used it for the first time last week and I was shocked by the results (first time I ever used a air gun)

I used zero rust on the insides of my fenders, I missed some spots but that is my fault, over all I love this gun, I wish I had boughten something sooner rather then fighting brushes and rattlecans
as noted before you will need at least 3/8" hose I used 1/4" when I practiced with it and had to have the compressor set at ~70 psi to get the needed 20 psi at the gun
