I have a dash cluster with a 5500 red line tach in a 69 chevelle. Upon inspection there is a tag above the speedometer inside the dash that has blue letters and JK on it. Understand that this is for the assembly line workers to ID the correct cluster for a vehicle based on the build sheet but would this cluster have been installed in a Baltimore assembled car? I ask this since like many of us I have not found a build sheet that could confirm alot for me. Reviewing build sheets online i find that no baltimore sheets have JK in the cluster box just JA. any input is appreciated. I am currently assuming the cluster came from a different car unless a build sheet appears....thanks merry christmas

Thanks for the info. I am pretty sure my car is the same, an L35 with the U14. Just wish i could have found any documentation on it.

Do you have any BS with JA that also have U14 on the sheet? Or all the ones you have w/o U14

I have 2 that have JA and don't list U14 and one the is JK and shows U14

So I don't know what gives, unless someone before you modifed that cluster from parts of other clusters?

I don't have any build sheets for this vehicle...would love to find one. I am researching the car and working to determine if in fact it is a true SS car which is a hard task. The car has been wrecked and then was apparently repaired, by a pretty good shop and then it was let go for a number of years. Many of the usual items to determine an SS are all things that could be changed. I believe it to be a true SS but i am still looking for any shred of proof. No build sheets in the car, interior was changed and re covered, car has changed door and appaently deck lid too. it is a mystery and digging up the clues is actually fun. If any one out there has exra build sheets that they have found or saved my body number is 151641. Have a good New years.
