Hey everyone,

I found a broken ear on the original M20 from my 1969 Z-28. I'm having one of our shop guys weld the ear back on, but obviously I need to pull the case apart so it's totally bare before any welding can begin. Any easy steps to pull the case apart? Again, the trans doesn't necessarily need to be rebuilt, just disassembled to this level. Thanks for the help!

There are a number of rebuild references online. Go search, you'll find one

Click on my site for rebuild instructions. You should not need to take the case apart for a weld job on an ear. Make sure they use Tig.
