heres a picture of the the side of my car the quater panel has a little serface rust on the surface but on the bottem of the wheel well the lip is rusted out I know I will have to weld that part. but it had slow speed a collision in the rear which pushed the panel about 2 inches in which caused the panel to flex some into a bigger curve like a eye glass lense how would I pull it out? I tried clamping it down to see if it would return to nomal but it still bulges out like a bubble I have included some pics but you can barley notice it in the pics any help ? thanks guys http://home.att.net/~knoldon/Mvc_011s.jpg http://home.att.net/~knoldon/Mvc_002s.jpg

Buy another car with a good rear and use your front clip from the green car.
That's a lot of work for a malibu car.

I don't know what all the cars of this vintage look like in your neck of the woods but this one is pretty rough by the standards around here in sunny California. That rust and rear end damage is not bad really, it is the rest of the rust I see. All the seams around the rear window and vinyl top are particularly troublesome.

If you do want to fix it, you will need to take it to a body shop with frame equipment to pull the rear of the body into shape. Any work you did on that rust before that being done would be a waste..

As MARTINSR said-- square body first-
Now the spendy part$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Purchase new r/r 1/4 panel--new outer wheelhouse--new r/r floor extn. to 1/4 panel. Replace ALL!!
Be prepared for extra time and expense for inner repairs of adjacent parts. Be prepared to replace vinyl top. Be prepared to spend more $$ and time than you ever imagined.
Next-- the door-- at a minimum it will need a skin, perhaps entire shell.
Don't forget MARTINSR's comments regarding window mounting areas.
Don't forget that this project must be considered in it's entirety, you will still have to deal with ALL other panels on car. Unless they have already been replaced they are no younger, and have been subjected to no less than the panels you asked about.

First thing to check on these cars is the rear window.Get a flash light and climb in the trunk.Stick your head under the package tray and look up.If you see rot holes around the rear window channel thats bad. If its rotted your looking at two full quarters and a rear filler panel. Next crawl under the rear of the car with your light and look at where the frame mounts to the body.If thats rotted and the rear window is shot, strip the car and find another one. Also look at the panel behind the rear bumper and just under the the trunk w-strip channel. If these spots are bad you will spend thousands in parts/material and countless hours repairing it.(Dont ask me how i know. And a rearend collision only makes matters worse.

I have to agree with 70isfine. Fixing this car would be a ton of work. Cant really tell how hard that rear panel is hit, but if it doesnt pull out nice HIGHLY recommend dumping the car. That rear panel is no treat to replace, but you also have to replace the entire back half of car-ouch man!! That rear piece is a SOB to fit, Ive got countless hrs fitting mine right  That piece effects all the gaps on the back half of car. You be far better off using that car for parts then fixing it.

If it was me and fixing it I would clip the car with nice rust free parts. Only if the car is as solid else where as you say. If its rusted out in other places then dump. BUt only this type of repair can be done at a body shop, not something for the weekend warrior...Eric
