Hi, I was wondering how to remove the drip rail moldings without damaging them? Is there a good repop out there for the drip rail? Thanks for your time.

Hi. Some guys over here use a bottle opener but I don't have good experience with that method. Because the opener is also metal there is the risc of damaging the drip molding IMHO.

What I used is a paint stirring stick! Sit inside your car and tap from inside out to the outside on the underside of the molding with a small hammer. Do this gently!! Don't force anything! Just work your way up and the bugger will pop off. You can do this with your SS drip rail molding and also with your alu. door style molding. I've learned this method from the guys over here at the forum. GOOD LUCK!

I just popped mine off by hand. Pop off the bottum first, then the moudling will lift off the rail.

They really like to curl up on you, Unless there is a method I dont know of yet, it's really a hit miss situation, just be really careful.

The corner pieces should come off fine, so should the short straight pieces. Long contoured ones are the trouble makers that like to curl up. A rag and a flatblade work ok. Just work ever so slightly from on side to the other, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.....broken record style. This way it comes off in one motion in the end, not peeled up from the back to the front or visa versa. If you've moving it enough to make a noticable difference I say you're moving it too much. Baby steps is the name of the game.

I just took these off and they curled up into garbage. I'm going from vinyl to hard top so it didn't matter, but I did try to be careful at the beginning. Good luck.
