Hi all,
Recently bought a used car for the DW and it has a dent, about a 1/4" deep and perhaps 1/4 to 3/8th's long just above the rear fender - right on a peak/raised crease.
What's the proper way to repair this. Would like to know before it goes in for the work.
Thanks
Dan

Dan, the first thing I would look into is "Paintless" dent repair. These guys are pretty amazing with repairing small things like that just by pushing it up from the rear. This is a HIGHLY specialized repair do NOT try to do it yourself.
Look in the phone book for "Paintless repair".

Thanks Brian.
I just returned from the dealer. The body shop they use does almost no retail work - almost exclusively dealer work. The Main Man (one of the two owners) from the body shop was onsite at the dealer assessing other work so I had a chance to speak with him.
Because the dent is right on a raised crease he said PDR was not an option. They will have to pull it out as much as they can, fill, then re-spray. He's not sure how much of the area he'll have to spray/blend - perhaps the entire Q panel. He said he'd probably need the car for two days.
Anything I need to be carefull of, or ask about here Brian?
