ok im gonna be primering my 69 2 door mailbu hardtop ina few weeks im wondring how much primer itll take me to get a good solid coat on it...... and how much it will cost me...... what brand of primer would be easy to shoot for a first timer.

Need some more info, what are you starting with such as bare metal,factory paint etc, and topcoat type.

its got a coat of primer on it...... its got like 70 % of the body work done and so im gonna finish the body work and sand it smooth and shoot primer on it.

Hey cool! Valliant OK, Used to go to the Weyerhauser plant a couple times a week when i drove trucks, anyhow back to the primer.
Do you know what type of primer is on it? It does matter, some types are not compatible with each other. Choice in material will also depend on the topcoat types, for instance Urethane or enamel, again compatibility issue.
If you really don't know whats on it or some spray bomb primer, the best choice is to take it off, its really not funny to have a paint failure later down the road. Lets face it paint is expensive.

I havnt a clue what it is... its got like 2 coats of primer on it tho a redish type and then the grey on top......Im just doing the body work for my brother and stuff so he'll be the one dealing with the paint choice thing tho.... he'll probly be doing it for quality so if that helps......

KEWL BEANZ atleast someone knows where valliant is besides me...how long ago was it when u went to the mill.....
