im going to replace the filler panel on my 67 and plan on using the adhesive. is this alright? secondly can i us the pop rivits to attach this at the window channel only along with the glue. i dont have enough c claps to hold everything so i thought the pop rivits would hold it at the window channel. thanks Dave

Dave using panel bonding for that applaciation I see no problems. But be careful on the type of glue you choose, you want the structual type glue not the door skin glue. The 3M glue I use is part #8115, but takes a special gun so you might have to rent one from a body shop. The structual glue has a longer work time and has a much stronger hold, its a better glue. Duramix also makes a good glue and I think it even comes with a built in app gun!
As for the pop rivets sure you can use them but why not just go out and buy a few vise grips? The pop rivets would look kinda well
For the price of a few vise grips do it right...Eric
Dave,
I use self threading screws to hold the panels that I can't get a clamp on. After the glue sets good, I take the screws out, and fill the holes with glue. I'm not saying it's a better idea than the pop rivets, it's just another option that works easier for me.
