How much of a horsepower difference is there between a full length header and a shorty? Is that the only difference between them is a couple hp and the shorties would fit better or are the full length far superior? Thanks

Do yall think this would be a good header. Part # 68618 for a mild 454 in a 70 chevelle with AC? Thanks http://www.hedman.com/pages/hedmanmain.html

I'd go with 1.75" x 3" hedmans if there is such an animal or the dynomax coated headers of the same size. Its the torque you lose with shorties, I'd definately go with full length headers.

Dyno'd a 450 horse 383-------- Edelbrock shorties vs.hooker long tubes.... We lost 30 horsepower with the shorties. Forgot how much torque. Have the sheets to prove it.... Just trying to help.

Thanks, Well I'll definetly look for a pair of full length headers.
