Hi all, I've never posted in the Body Shop area before. I usually hang out in the Performance Forum. However, the 11 year old paint job on my daily driver is going away. Lots of chips and its very faded.

I'm looking to change the color and wonder what is the easiest color to care for. What color shows dust the least (it sure isn't black http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif). Also, the body isn't very straight. Looks OK from 50', so I'd like something that won't highlight the wavy spots. This is a car, 66 El Camino with a canopy, that is driven everyday rain or shine. It still works for a living and carries several hundred pounds of material a week. Thanks,

Pat, I think white might be best, it hides a lot of imperfections.

Colored primer! Or, a straight bright white urethane. Straighten that thing out first as best you can. We can't have any friendly Caminos out there waving as they go by! ;p
Seriously, light silver is the second alternate behind white. Butternut Yellow is a good one also.

THEY SAY WHITE HIDES A MULTIDTUDE OF SINS! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif
I PAINTED MY FIRST CAR (86 CAMARO) WHITE BECAUSE IT HAD TONS OF BONDO IN IT AND IT WORKED WONDERS!

My metallic silver Honda was the easiest car to keep clean and nice looking. Dirt never showed up and it hid the chips quite well.

Jackiebaby: Please turn off the Caps Lock button. It's difficult to read and implys that you're SHOUTING. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Thanks!

Looks like its white or silver, although butternut yellow sounds pretty tasty. If white, I have to find a good one. I've seen whites that don't look good and whites that do. Any suggestions on a good white. Kurt, I had a silver Honda also. it wasn't bad at all to take care of.

Thanks and I'm open to any other suggestions,
