It says to check, "..on a regular basis," for '67 Chevelle recalls. Obviously, you haven't been doing it!

I remember when I took my 69 Malibu in and they put on the motor mount restraint cables but I don't see it listed for Chevelle.

Recall Date: DEC 29, 1971
Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE
Potential Units Affected: 6682084
Summary: THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT A SEPARATED MOTOR MOUNT MAY ALLOW THE ENGINE TO LIFT, WHICH MAY AFFECT THE THROTTLE LINKAGE, MOMENTARILY INCREASING THROTTLE, POSSIBLY TO FULL THROTTLE.
Consequence: UNEXPECTED LOSS OF THROTTLE CONTROL MAY CAUSE LOSS OFVEHICLE CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: INSPECT ENGINE MOUNTS AND INSTALL RESTRAINTS WHICH WILL LIMIT ENGINE LIFT AND ELIMINATE POSSIBLE SECONDARY EFFECTS TO THE THROTTLE LINKAGE DUE TO ENGINE MOUNT SEPARATION.
Notes: GENERAL MOTORS CORP.,

Those kits are hard to find at the junkyard these days. I've only seen 2 in the last few years.

Wow thats a neat site doesn't just have recalls by the manufacturer. My uncle has a 66 vette and I checked under it for kicks and it talked about a recall on calipers made by somebody other than Chevy in 2002-2003. May come in handy as a way to find out about chevelle restoration parts that have been remanufactured.

I had to laugh when I saw the '72 Vega, it had 4 recalls. They should have just said to return it for a refund.

I got onna thos motor mount letters for my '67 camaro back then, but I had already installed a homemade turnbuckle/chain torque strap on it so didn't bother.

I ended up taking both mm's off and bolting them together using a recessed 3/8" bolt and washers and such, worked great so I took my homemade gizmo off.

Speaking of recalls - how old can the vehicle be and still get the recalls handled? I don't think I'll be taking my '72 in ;) but what about 90's stuff? Will they still do it or no?
