: Any Vets or "animal communicators" here?

Ok guys, here is a strange one. My son has told me a story that is pretty hard to believe, yet pretty hard to disprove as well.

He tells me he has an in-law that "spoke" to his cats. These cats "told her" a bunch of stuff. She wrote a letter (she "talked" to the cats from her home miles away) to them with all the things the cats told her. Like any horoscope in the paper most of what she told them was pretty general and would fit most any home with cats, including mine.

But one thing, one thing was just freaky. She told them in detail how dog had once died in the house. They asked the neighbors (original owners) and sure enough, the original owner of my sons house had a dog die under these same circumstances! And we are talking some pretty unusual circumstances told in great detail.

Now, what I am wondering is being she is a vet in a nearby community (about 50 miles away), could there be some sort of data base where she could have gotten this info?

Tell her to talk to my dog and tell him not to pee everywhere.

I talk to my wife's cat all of the time;

"Get off of my lap".
"Get out of my way".
"Stop staring at me".
"Next time you cut me off coming down the steps will cost you 3 lives".

I guess anything is possible. "The Cat Whisperer?"
Cats actually communicate pretty well once you figure them out but I don't know that they could communicate a dog dying. Think about it this way:
She had 3 possiblilities, 2 that work to her favor.
1. A dog died.
2. Its not true or "accurate."
3. Nobody has any idea if that happened or not.
1 and 3 work to her benefit particularly if she is getting paid for this.

It sounds hard to believe, but you never know. Just because our logical mind tells us that it couldn't be, why close our minds? Who says that we have the last word on the ways of the universe?

CheZepplinCorps, you're too damn funny :)

Cam, I am with you. But to quote someone who I can't remember, "There can be no certainty without first having doubt".

Like I said 99% of what she said was bull. "The cat says he likes the big windows" DUH!

But when she says that the dog died of cancer while they were on vacation and a neighbor says that a dog died of cancer while the home owner was on vacation, that is pretty freaky.

What I want to know and I am not sure if I will ever find out, is there some sort of data base or something that vets could look up what another vet did while treating some dog? In other words, all she would have to do it search the house number in a data base and come up with an owner who brought a pet into the vet.

Googled the town name and "dog died vacation" and a NUMBER of sites came up. After reading a few, it was VERY interesting and I could see that if I spent enough time I could come up with something if it exists.

I certainly am going to question anyone coming up with something so wild before I believe.

This one just seems too easy to prove a fraud. If her husband wasn't a vet I would have never thought of this data base. But now that I have thought of it, I can't believe a thing she says.

Animals have the ability to communicate using telepathy. Although,
I highly doubt most people are blessed with this talent. I feel
that telepathy between Man and his animal friends will develope over
years of interaction with one another.

Look deep into the eyes of your beloved pet sometime and you may
experience this.

Excuse me, I have to run. My Bichon Frise has told me that she has
to go potty !
