I haven't posted here in a while but these forums have been very helpful with any problem I come across with anything it seems. Anyway I removed an air conditioner from a window at home here in the fall and while unplugging it, I yanked it sideways and one of the prongs broke off the plug. I've thought about getting a new end for the cord which would be easily done but with the current an air conditioner draws I would think that'd be a fire hazard. I haven't taken it apart but I'd prefer to just replace the whole cord with a new one. The unit is a Friedrich, only a couple years old and worked fine, and isn't a cheap one either. Any suggestions or links? Thanks.

Might take the old cord off and take it to Homedepot and match it up.

The home stores sell heavy duty replacement cords for appliances like an air cond units. I've seen them on the shelves from time to time.
