i like a red car with the white strips(1970), but would they look out of place if the car had a black vinyle top-usually you would paint the stripes black to match the top-my other alt. would be to paint the car black with the white stripes(stay with 2 colors) i have a couple weeks b4 i start shooting the car

I don't know how good that would look. If the vinyl top was not there, it would be fine. My interior is black and my new paint job on my 70 will have white stripes, but I don't have a vinyl top.

My Dad always gave me a lot of resistance to white stripes on my red car with blk interior, so I never did it. The car is presently being redone now and I intend to stripe it this time around. I just can't decide white or silver stripes...

I don't have a vinyl top, but I'm sure I've seen it done somewhere, I'll have to check my old "car show pictures" and see.
