I recieved my floor pan and trunk pan sections the other day from NPD. The trunk pan sections are foreign made and they fit better than the gm repo parts floor pan sections. isn't that ironic??

I got the whole trunk in and Now I have to start on the floor. I have everything out of the car and the only thing left is the dash and steering column and pedals. I was looking at the dash and trying to figure out exactly how to get it out. I don't know why I would think this but it appears to be almost permanently mounted in there. I see the few bolts along the bottom of the dash, but they don't appear to hold the entire dash in.

Do yall have any hints as to how to get it out?
I know it would help me progress a little faster with my floor pan replacements. Thanks.

You'll have to unbolt the steering column and let it down, then remove the screws that run along the top edge of the dash. All the dash lights and switch plugs can be pulled out as you pull the dash panel out.

The main part of the dash is an assembly that can be removed as a unit with the instrument cluster and wiring harness in tact. A factory assembly manual is available for your car and will help greatly with disassembly as well as reassembly.

They aren't that expensive and most suppliers on this site carry them, I.E. OPG, NPD, etc.etc.

The top of the dash under the dash pad and the glove box are not removable they are welded in.
