I need your help anybody know the part no. for a stock 1966 elcamino fuel sending unit.

I purchased a reman and the needle stops just before Full but the factory 30yr old one stops at Full, same gals of gas.

i did notice that the reman unit was not as long as the stock unit and that the float arm was bent different.

i did purchase a new GM unit but it looks identical to the reman.

so i need to compare part no.

maybe someone put a ford sending unit in my Elcamino yikkes

I don't know if the El Camino part is the same as the Chevelle part but a GM unit I have for a 66 Chevelle is part # 6428067.
