Hey guys, would you recommend doing my interior or my paint first? I am just trying to minimize the down time for driving. I am calling the body shop tomorrow and seeing what their calendar looks like. If i have to wait a while, would it be foolish to install my complete new interior?? What do you all think? I think if the shop is as good as i hear, they wouldnt mess anything up. I dunno.

Personally, I'd paint first. Painting is a dirty job because of all the sanding dust and no matter how hard they try the dust tends to get everywhere. If you do paint first, you've got to be careful putting the interior in though.

Definitely paint first. Personally I'd take the seats, door panels , and carpet out. It'll get nasty at the bodyshop.

Strip the car inside and out if you desire. Saves alot of time and with the interior out check the floors for holes. Drop the interior off at the interior shop and when the cars done get it reinstalled.

Speaking from a body shops view, do the paint first. HTH

It depends on what you mean by interior work. If you're referring to the upholstery work, then you should be okay to paint the outside first and do the interior last. I don't think it's a big deal either way though.
But, if by interior work you mean floor pan replacement, then I would get that work done before painting the exterior. Get all the sheetmetal work and welding done on the inside of the car before starting on the outside. That way, you don't run the risk of scratching or gouging a new paint job, because you'll be in and out of the car a lot with air hoses, extension cords, welding cables, and with sheetmetal floor pieces as you bring them in and out to cut and fit them.
