Hello !
I'm looking for a Detriot locker for GM 12 bolt rearends and 33 spline axles ( In Summit partnr. DTL-187C198A ) and there online catalog now says that it is no longer availible and the substitute part has partnr. DTL-187S198A. I can't find any info about the difference between the "C" and the "S" , so the question is , does anyone here know what's the difference between this two parts ?

Thank's in advance

C is for c clip axles, S is for axles retained by the axle bearings.

Thank's for the reply!
:beers:
So the Detroit locker I should get is the 187S198A then. My plan for the upgrade off the 12 bolt also includes 33 spline moser axles , housing ends with Ford axle bearings and 5/8 wheel studs. :D

Correct. You will have to weld the housing ends on using a fixture in the housing to hold everything in line with the differential bearing bore.
