$450 for a Posi 10 bolt(yeah I know..Wish it were 12) with 3.23 gears. Just mounted it tonight, and all I need to do now is add fluid and bleed brakes...then off for a test drive. Its out of a Ponitac Lemans (not sure what year). I had my doubts about it fitting, but the guy was right, Bolted right in Perfect. Might not be a 12 bolt, but hey, whatever rolls me down the road for now is fine...besides, Its still an upgrade being Posi, and 3.23 gears will hopefully push me back in the seat a little more.

Congrats. Atleast it is the stronger 8.5 being from a BOP car.

Really? Hehh, didnt know that, but happy to hear! ALL BOP 10 bolts where 8.5?? Should be able to handle anything my Mild 350 can throw at it anyway! Dont know if I trust is behind the BB though.

You'd be suprised how much abuse that 10 bolt will take.. A good friend of mine ran mid 11's with his with his Buick GS on a 10 bolt. Ran it for years & never did blow it up..

Im starting to wonder if its really an 8.5 or an 8.2 after looking at some rearend ID sites. But cant seem to find the casting number..(which isnt on the axle..its on the lower right of the case facing rear. Anyway, If anyone can find it, heres the codes...
