Interesting Chevelle web site I stumbled across last night, wanted to see if anyone here saw it. Supposedly a 6-cyl 66 Super Sport, which the site says was made for the export markets. Interesting standard equipment, including a rear defogger! Also has a painted on vinyl top, similar to a truck bedliner. Also has a steering column lock, something I've never seen before.

Pictures of a build sheet, too.

That was posted on here a few years ago. I would be surprised if it's still for sale....especially at that price.

But it is NOT a "SuperSport" (model)... It is "Malibu SS"

In the US, the models were "300", "300 Deluxe", "Malibu" and "SuperSport"...

The Supersport was ONLY available with the 396, no other engines...

The Malibu was NOT available with the 396...

The export cars ( often considered Canadian) had the "Malibu SS" model, which was available with a 6 cylinder, a small block and I think up to the 360 HP 396... These models also had Bucket seats/console as "standard", something which neither the US-spec Malibu or SuperSport had, as bench seats were standard on those...

Still kinda cool, I guess...

Kind of like the late-model rear-drive Caprice's, they quit making them for the US, but they were still available in other parts of the world...
