I'm in the process of restoring my 66 malibu coupe.after removing the headliner, rear window and exposing the speaked deck Ive got RUST!!!!I would like to cut and re-weld a new window channel. Does anyone know if the channel is available new? If so where? I think I can salvage the speaker deck but if not is that sheet metal available as well? Worst case sceniero I could go to a salvage yard.

I think you'll find most of the aftermarket suppliers who deal in sheetmetal will supply the area you are asking about- It's called the "trunk lid to rear window filler panel", or something similar to that. (and occupies that space)
On my 1970, it runs from about halfway in the lower corner of the rear window to the same area of the opposite side, so if your rusted area runs further up the sides of the rear window channel, you might have some custom fab work to do.
Good luck!

I have a 67 with the same problem. I got the Sail panel with the inside corner that meets up with the trunk filler panel from True Connections 800-600-4144
Haven't installed as of yet but looks to be good panels.
