I have set the engine and body on the frame. I would like to put the fenders on this weekend so the doors can be fitted. Do the inner fenders go on before or after the fenders? What is the thought on this? I still need to do some under hood items on the engine.

Should note that this is a '68.

Have the doors been fitted to the quarters? If not,I believe that needs to be done first, then, put the fenders on.And the inners can go on after the fender is on....At least that's how I've been told to do it to my Elky

Like Flywheel said, the doors need to be installed and adjusted first, then the fenders.
I believe you can install the fender wells before or after. I prefer before.

Doors have already been hung. Need only to check for forward spacing.

Just went thru this process with two Chevelles. My 68 and a friends 70. The doors MUST be installed and adjusted correctly with the quarters and rockers. Then the inner wheel wells go in. Then the fenders go on top of the wheel wells. Trying to get the wheel wells on after the fenders can be done but it's difficult and they will get scratched.
