OK, I'm challenged. I have a 69 hood on my 68 Chevelle ( no big issue there), the problem is that the Hood doesn't sit flush at the back end (closest to the window). I have the 69 hinges on, but no luck. Thanks, Steve

Do a search, this has been discussed many times!!!Might hafta do some fabricatin!! Good luck, Mike
OK, here is the trick. Open the hood and loosen all the hinge to fender bolts, then push up on the hood all the way-like you are going to bend it. Have an assistant tighten all the bolts while are applying upward tension and when all is tight they will suck in and sit flush. Don't beleive me-that's OK, just try it anyway.

I had the same problem with my 69 ss hood. Try removing the rubber bumber at the bottom of the hood on the side that is sticking up. It worked for me.

Insert shims between the hinge and hood at the front bolt. That will lower the rear edge of the hood.

Well, I saw this and tried it today. I did work by adding 3 standard flat washers to each front bolt between the hinge and the hood. However I chipped my newly painted fender edge because the hood moved back toward the windshield while inserting the shims. After putting in one sides shims I lowered the hood to check the improved alignment. I first noticed that the hood latch would not allow closing of the hood. But what I didn't notice was the edge of the hood touched the edge of the fender (ever so slightly) and chipped in two places my fender. I closed the hood slowly and I thought carefully but it nicked together. Note to others who try this adjustment; the hood can and will move back toward the windshield do your utmost best to put it back in original position. Mine didn't crunch anything but with just the touch of metal edge to metal edge it will chip your paint. :(
