I use to use Amway Chrome and Glass Cleaner. That was the only thing that I found to remove old harden water spots and buildup below the area of view. But Amway doesn't make that product anymore. Is there anything else out there on the market for removing thirty year old glass stains?

CR Lawrence or Spray-Away glass cleaner works wonders and should be avail at most glass shops. Ask you local glass shop they should be able to help.

How about trying a little extra-fine steel wool? I haven't found anything on my glass that steel wool couldn't remove easily. Don't worry, glass is a whole lot harder than steel, you can't scratch the glass with steel wool.

Steel wool also works great to clean crud off chrome, but do NOT use it to clean polished stainless steel (like windsheild reveal molding) or annodized aluminum trim.
