i have 2 68 hood hinges but they are differnt lenghts and have differnt center to center holes i know they are both 68s can i elongate the holes on the one to make the hood move back farther when it is open it sits above the fender the other sits below i've heard of this but never seen it thanks ed

Sounds like you have 1 68, and 1 69 :mad:
If I remember right, the 69 hinge will put the hood above the fender in the open position.
With the 68 hinges, the hood sits "in" the opening when the hood is open.
