Or maybe small blocks so expensive?! Fifteen years ago, everything big block seemed to cost twice as much, now big and small seems to all cost pretty much the same, except for heads. I am looking at getting a 350 or 383 shortblock with all forged internals, its going to cost around $3k. For $4k I can get a 540 shortblock with the same grade internals, and actually an aftermarket block! Im tempted to sell what I have now and build an enormous big block, but the cost of good heads is the only thing making me think twice.
