Are you sure its not being caused by the radiator support, the rubber bushings that mount it ? I had a squeak on my 68 that was hard to locate but it was one of those bushings on the radiator support.

Might also spray something on the upper shock rubber bushings. I've changed mine, mounted dry, used white grease, everything...... I still have to lube them to keep them quiet. They make an annoying high pitched squeek on very small bumps.

Have seen where bottom fender shims are rubbing against frame rail, especially the ones with the "tail". It generates a very high pitched metallic squeak, usually, only when driving. Karl
