My car was originally a column shift, but the previous owner put in a horseshoe shifter on the floor. The problem is that the reverse lights were never hooked up. I see that NPD carries the switch. Whats involved with installing the switch? I'm guessing then I'll need to run wiring from the switch to the reverse lights or the fuse box under the dash. Anyone done this install before? Thanks.

I did this with an after market fool shifter. The switch for the back up lights was on the column. i unplugged this switch and from the stock wiring ran a pair of wires to the switch on the floor shifter. BTW, same for the neutral safety switch.

I believe you need a 12v power source, I used an open terminal on the fuse block, to one terminal of the switch (Only use terminal that is hot when car is ON) and the other terminal is hooked up to the wire to the lamps themselves...not that difficult. Not sure what else is involved, I forget...
