I know the rule used to be 90 days before waxing a new car. Is that still the rule?

TIA

As far as I know the answer is YES
Waxing the car seals to paint and prevents it from fully curing.

according to P.P.G. and Dupont the full cure is at 90days, 3m makes a great polish that is vbery similar to a wax but for use on new paint. Agood rule of thumb is when the water no longer beads on the finish it has achieved full cure, when the paint is new it emits vapors that resist water similar to a fresh coat of wax.

I've always not waxed for 30 days, most companies sell waxes (carnuba) that can be used right away that still let the paint breathe. Mike
