There were 2 different switches used for the 68 Chevelle. The most common one is part number 1893592 and is still available from GM for about $75. It is made of white plastic. A replacement part is also available at Adavnced Auto or Auto Zone for about $50. The other one is part number 5698520 and is very hard to find. They are more commonly used in the 67-68 Corvettes with a tilt wheel but were also used is a few other cars. This one is made of orange plastic. GM quit making these a few years ago so the only way to get one is to find a NOS or used one. NOS ones usually sell for $300 to $400 on Ebay. This is the one I had to buy for my 68 Beaumont.
