When I removed the rusted bottom strip below
my windshield, I found a strip of seam filler
under the strip on top of metal extending from the firewall metal. If I run a seam of
tube seam filler and weld the windshield strip in, I think I will burn up the filler. I can't get to the place after I weld the strip in with regular seam filler. Any
suggestion???

Ruined a shirt and pair of pants caulking underside. VERY difficult, used caulking gun with a large inside diameter hose attached to bend corner. Then spread, smeared with fingers and small acid brush. cowl is completly gutted, inside, outside, no dash or interior. Wear gloves & have solvent available for clean up. I still think there is a better way. Thought long and hard about using bonding adhesive instead of welding panel on. Couldn't get myself to do it. Karl
