: Nice 70 chevelle. (Pics)
somuscle70 Nov 30th, 05, 7:30 PM I found this on another site. And though it was really nice.
the car is a dark green, its called polo green. it has black ralley stripes with the realist "fire" flames in them. the motor is a 454 bored 30 over with all aftermarket parts. .614 lift cam, aftermarket iron heads, polished air-gap intake and all painted to match the car. car also has a 4 speed tranny(can be changed to a auto easy) the interior has a custom made dash with autometer gauges and a 7in screen molded into it. the seats are re-done using leather and suade with a suade headliner. the suspention is all tubular upper and lower control arms, air-ride shockwaves in the front and bags in the rear with QA-1 shocks. its all 1/4 in line. all the audio in the car is rockford fostgate. im asking 105k or best offer.

mr 4 speed Nov 30th, 05, 7:45 PM In all honesty,it looks to be a nicely done car.I bet the work is top notch as well.
Not my kinda style..each is own.
Very pricey too I might add.
The person that built or probably paid to have this kinda work done will never recover their money.
You could buy an LS6 car and a driver 70 SS for 105K.
Probably have money left over depending on how nice of a car(s) you want.
Looks like this car just came out of a video game :)
Dean Nov 30th, 05, 7:51 PM Looks very nice except for the UGLY wheels but it's way way overpriced.
frankf72malibu Nov 30th, 05, 8:23 PM Looks very nice except for the UGLY wheels but it's way way overpriced.
I think those are nice looking wheels but not on this car. Put some nice Cragar or Torq Thrust's 17" max on it and it would look really good. And it is way overpriced.

ACES-70 Nov 30th, 05, 8:29 PM All I hope is that he didnt use a real SS car to create that abortion,, JMHO
BudW Nov 30th, 05, 8:41 PM Nice Car!
Gokou Nov 30th, 05, 9:04 PM I believe the owner of the car is a member here; I know he is over at lateral-g.net and I believe I've seen him here as well.

72chevy Nov 30th, 05, 9:13 PM A little too Pimp'd for me. 17's would have kept closer to it's muscle car roots. I'm sure the younger crowd would go for it. Good luck finding a kid with 105k to burn.
4th pic down......It does not have a rear window or the package tray????
SS4Real Nov 30th, 05, 9:33 PM The horror....those wheels are ugly.
Gokou Nov 30th, 05, 9:35 PM I'm sure the younger crowd would go for it. .
You are onto something; the current owner and builder (they are one and the same) if I remember correctly is under 20 and works at Midwest Customs.
As far as all the wheel comments; they are Intro Matrix (http://www.introwheels.com/pages/w_exposed/matrix.shtml) wheels. Very nice looking wheels actually, but too big in diameter in this application (19's and 22's) for *my* tastes; I would have done 17s, 17/18s, or 18s, but then again, I wasn't the one building it. Builders/owners choice.

I jumped over on the thread provided above on Lateral-G and did a little reading and looking at pictures. Their is alot (I mean ALOT) of one-off custom pieces on this car. The dash is a fiberglass piece made from the original but modified to fit the specific gauges he picked, a special molded in clock, a molded in monitor and receiver, and the list goes on. I still think 105K is too much but you have to truly appreciate the work and craftmanship that went into this car. Also, it was all done in 45 days I believe. That in itself is amazing. Yes, many of the purists here will not like this car but too each his own. I wouldn't tell him know if he wanted to give it to me. You have to applaud him for building the car the way he wants. That is just my opinion.

Effort that goes into these things is incredible. Even IF I could do the work, I don't think I would ever be able to enjoy the finished product. Too affraid of rock chips, dings, scratches, vandals. But a trailer queen is no fun either.
Skier_Bob Nov 30th, 05, 10:58 PM Awesome attention to detail. I love the dash. Engine compartment is fantastic too. If it only had some rake, it would be near perfect (I like throw back rims too). Incredible car though

nope I am 21 and don't think too much off it to be nice;) if I had 105K to burn I would buy a nice LS6
Dan Orgill Dec 1st, 05, 7:11 AM Looks very nice except for the UGLY wheels but it's way way overpriced.
Dean, I take it you and I are not hanging out in the Pro Touring section.:)
As many have stated already, alot of engineering " Wow " on this ride, but those rims look soooooooooooo bad on that car:eek: .
The price is out of sight, and when you've customized a car to that extent, price or not, you're really narrowed the field of buyers, because there is alot done to that car that will not appeal to alot of people.
To tell the truth I really don't even know the definition of "Pro Touring" but if it means putting VERY TALL wheels on a nice car like this then it's not my cup of tea. "different strokes for different folks"
A long time ago I asked "what is Pro Touring" and nobody could answer.
Actually I didn't mean that the wheels themselves were ugly, just way to tall for this car.
We always say build it the way you like it but looks to me like this one was built to sell since the owner obviously doesn't intend to keep it.
In fact I think this thread is a "For Sale ad" in disguise since the owner's first one was deleted from our forums.
Beautiful car (except for the motorcycle wheels)
dittoz Dec 1st, 05, 10:00 AM http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/jawdropper.gif
Well... it is a really nice piece of work, the flames are cool and the wheels are sweet. I'm sure the engine was done well and the custom fab work mentioned in the dash is incredible. Personally, I would have sprung another few bucks and gone with a back window and a package tray ( :D )
Unfortuantely, it's like doing a boob job on a chicken...
Nothing wrong with the enhanced "accessories" and nothing wrong with the chicken, but they just don't go well together !

ROFLMAO, well said:D , as others have stated I think it's a nice car, but those wheels have GOT TO GO..Lots of quality work though..

1hot67 Dec 1st, 05, 10:50 AM I can certainly appreciate the effort that went into that car. It's not exactly what I'd do, but then it's not my car either. Just the fact that he wants $105k narrows the field of buyers IMO.
1badss396 Dec 1st, 05, 11:00 AM Nice car BUTttttt the wheels look like the bros cars here in Daytona on a jacked up Impala. Butt ugly wheels and they must have cost $70.000 to justify the off set of the 105K,lol
Dean Dec 1st, 05, 11:24 AM Those 22" wheels would probably look nice on a big hey wagon but not on a Chevelle.
But that's just MY personal opinion.
blumont Dec 1st, 05, 11:34 AM Those 22" wheels would probably look nice on a big hey wagon but not on a Chevelle.

I think that "bigger is better "definately doesn't apply to wheels for our old rides. I have to agree with Dean.

Nope, Ill be 16 in a week and I just bought a set of 15x8 Torq Thrust II's. I defianetly like the 15's to 17's the best.
bottlebaby540 Oct 10th, 06, 11:12 PM for what its worth i know this post is old, but i just found this post and its my car. thanks for the congrats and opinions. i like the honesty. i just put that up there for that ammount to see what people would say. i got alot of feedback. i got a offer for very close to that ammount, but i didn't sell it do to personal reasons. now its for sale again for alot less. like i said thanks, i know the post is old, and if anyone else sees this and wants to post, keep it honest. love it or hate it.
texaspilot180 Oct 11th, 06, 10:33 AM Car looks good to me! Nice work, with a very nice custom finished look.

oldtimebaseballfan Oct 11th, 06, 10:42 PM I think the work is well done...but I can't stand those wheels.
I hope that wasn't a real SS. The price for something like that is so difficult to come up with. It has one person's personality so finding a purchaser that likes and wants to spend money on it is slim to none.
For a young guy, you sure can do some fancy work.
bottlebaby540 Oct 11th, 06, 11:17 PM yes i ruined a real SS big block 4/speed car. one thing to think about, now matter how much money i would of put into a malibu or something, its still a malibu. if i started with a SS it will still be a SS when im done. now before the "you ruined a real SS" talk starts, i was at least carefull enough to save the factory parts and there isn't one single thing done to the car i can't reverse. i have the factory dash ( the one in it, is a monte carlo dash however the gauges fit in the factory areas so only a little bit was cut out) i have the motor/tranny that came with it. not that that really matters, if i wanted a numbers matching car i would of built it. i have restored many other cars to factory that i wanted to go out on a limb and do a custom car. another thing to think about is the car was done 2 years ago and hasn't seen a trailor (besides when i broke the rear) yet. the way i see it, i could bolt a set of 17s on it and be like everyone else or i could of turned the page, which i did. if you got any questions just ask. im 22 now, and am in the custom car industry and build cars for rappers, athletes, and general high dollar clients. so i know plenty of people who will pay me what i want for the car.
steelhorses Oct 12th, 06, 4:08 AM i think that thing looks awesome. the 22's are a tad too big for me, but only by about 2 inches :D
when i first saw the flames on the hood i thought it was the same one that was on the cover of the Jegs magazine a while back, but that one was black.
personally i'd love to see more pictures of it. it looks similar to another one that was on ebay and i saved the pictures of it because i just fell in love with it when i saw it. (http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b21/burtontactic/Chevelle/)
so bottlebaby, if you've got more pics of that thing, you've got one interested guy right here who'd love to see them.
jfman Oct 12th, 06, 4:15 AM I like a nice black and shiny chevelle. It really brings out that body line in the 1/4 panels. Very nice.

thats really just a matter of opinion i guess. the car was appraised for way more. like i said i got a offer for real close to that just putting the car on this site and a couple local racing sites around where i live. plus im in the market where it isn't anything to drop 100k on a car. like i said over priced or not, people are willing to pay it.
cliffs1970 Oct 12th, 06, 7:25 PM My El Camino is only half the car of that, do you want to buy it for 50,000?:D

steelhorses Oct 12th, 06, 11:28 PM those are some sweet pictures. i can't think of any SPECIFIC ones i'd like to see, except for maybe a few engine compartment pics, but i just like the car in general. oh, i just thought of one picture... do you have a good one that really shows off the "real fire" with the green? cuz for some reason, i don't see those colors going together real well - but i've never actually seen it, until now but if you had a nice one of those i'd like to see it.
thanks

oh yea? not sure what you mean. im not trying to "sell" the car. i didn't make the orginal post about the car being for sale. i did a search and found it and being it was my car i decided to make a post. you guys are the ones telling me it isn't worth it, and all im saying is, i can get that if i want to. delete the orginal post about how much i want for it if the post that someone else made about it being for sale is a issue. thanks.

that was my attempt when i posted the pictures a year ago without the back window and package tray. it didn't work out so well im assuming. the real fire in the green is kinda a hit or miss, kinda like the rims. the main stripe itself is black with the fire in the black.

thunderstruck507 Oct 13th, 06, 12:56 AM I'm 21 and think wheels over 18" are garbage
this car would be amazing with some nicer wheels in a smaller size (18s would be good)
bottlebaby540 Oct 13th, 06, 12:59 AM yea. i agree to a extent. ive done that and wanted to try something new. it went out on a limb. i like the outcome which to me is all that matters. i got a few other cars with 15s,18s and 19s on them so to me it would of just been another ho hum car.
steelhorses Oct 13th, 06, 11:45 AM do you do any of the painting yourself? just wondering cuz i've taken a class on painting the real flames, and i'm actually taking one tonight about painting wood grain, marble, and maybe one other thing. it should be a lot of fun.
i like the look of that though - with the dark green and real flames... and the package tray. that's cool.

Well as long as you're happy with it you can't complain. It is a very amazing car, I love the flames in the stripes and the colors of everything. I'm just more a fan of some wide 17 or 18s instead.

would it change your opinions any if i called to order slicks and skinnys and for some reason called intro instead?
