I've tried a search and didn't really seem to find what I was looking for. Is a 1966 automatic power brake pedal the same as 1967 and do they bolt up the same? If not can a 1967 be modified to fit. Thanks for your help. Wayne

I have a 66 chevelle and I want to change from 4spd manual to 3spd automatic. I need to change brake pedals. I've found a 67 chevelle brake pedal assembly and need to know if it is the same as the 66 brake pedal assembly. I assume that it is, but would like to be assured by those of you that have done this conversion. Thanks for your help. Wayne

I converted my four speed pedal setup to automatic this summer.

Picked up a 67 wide auto brake pedal from a 67 at the local wrecker. No 66's around to pick from.

Found out the 67 pedal is different than the 66.

Did manage to find a correct 66 auto brake pedal, not much difference but just enough that it does not work.

Thanks Sandy. I'll keep looking for a 66. Nice Beaumont. That's only the second one I've seen. Wayne

Just realized you will also need the rod that the pedal pivots on.

On the four speed setup the clutch pedal includes the rod that slips through the support. You need the rod without a pedal attached. Not sure what the correct term is for this part but I think you know what I mean.

Very nice Chevelle you have there, reminds me of many years ago when I had a blue with black vinyl top Malibu SS, blue interior, knee knocker tach, buckets console the works.........and when I bought it for 1,350 bucks thinking it was a 396, it turned out to have a real L88.....
