I am getting ready to strip my Chevelle to bare metal per advice from many on this site and was wondering what process and products I should use to make this as painless as possible. I do have a compressor and air tools by the way. I will be applying a gray epoxy urethane primer over the bare metal when prepped. TIA ;)

3M offers some good sanding products.. personally i would go with some type of soft sanding pad made by 3M mounted on an angle grinder.. be careful around creases and body lines not to go too deep.. also i heard it was a good idea to send it out and have it media blasted. just make sure whoever would be blasting it knows what theyre doing because it could warp the metal.
