Hi ! In all the "know how" books about small block engines the ARP bolts should have a little less torque than the regulars but on the back of the package of the ARP bolts I bought it says 50 Ft-lbs torque ! That is more than the factory specs on regular bolts ! ......??????? What should I do ?

I think it also varies depending on the lube you use on the bolts. If you use 'standard' assembly lube it calls for more torque than if you use ARP's special moly lube.
I'm sure someone can reply with the exact specs, i don't know them myself.

Swede,
Most of the 3/8" ARP bolts are 50 lbs with thier special lube. It is actually more than that if you use oil. Also, if you are changing the bolts, you will have to resize the big ends of the rods so dont bother installing them in the rods yet.

Here's an ARP bolt torque chart:

You need to follow the ARP specs for torque and use the supplied ARP moly lube and you will have success! :D
