I'm looking for the replacement studs to mount the molding clips on my Chevelle. I bought some years ago. They look just like the stud but instead of welding on, they had a phillips head and a threaded portion. When they were installed they looked just like the orginal studs that were welded. Does anyone know who sells these? I can't remember where I bought them. Oh. please dont tell me just to use a metal screw. That would be too easy.

Yes, metal screws made for that purpose. #4x 1/2 automotive "windshield stud repacement screws" Don't know about ones you're describing.

I purchased mine from Hillco Fasteners in CA. I have extra. How many are you looking for? I might have enough. Send me an email and I will see if I can hook you up.

I used those on my rear window filler panel. Once I screwed them in I welded them in solid from the back side then installed the panel. I was afraid of them leaking or coming loose.

I had the same issue of missing molding studs, so I bought those screws you mention. Here's where I got them: www.mrgusa.com (http://www.mrgusa.com)
