Looking at buying this door to repalce the rusted hulk that is the original to my car. Can i just hammer and dolly this back into shape?? It is the upper front edge of the passanger door. It appears to have been dropped..the edge is curled over some. I do not want to have to replace the skin if I can help it.. http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/Chief/0001door.jpg

I'd show that pic to your local body shop and see if the price they quote makes the cost of the door worthwhile. You almost have to buy it, if the door you have is completely shot and the owner doesn't want a fortune for it.

Can you make a smaller pic this one wont fit my screen :D

Depending on the damage yes hammer and dooly will fix it. But it kinda looks like that the door edge is pushed back some. If that condition is present then you need to weld a tab to the skin and frame and pull the damage out. Bolt the door on the car, weld your tab nd pull out. Then you can be able to work any metal imperctions with a hammer and dolly, spoon, pick and or stud gun.

If that is the ONLY damage on the skin then you WONT need to reskin it. Ive done damage JUST LIKE THAT but 10 times worse had come out looking beautiful and NOT full of mud

If it wasn't dropped, the other possibility would be that it came off a car that the fender was hit in front, fender was pushed back. Door was forced open.
Used to see this type of damage often.
Flange damage can be a challenge. Also, inner frame can get bent @ hinge.
This repair would best be performed by an experienced body technician.
Agree with previous advice, get the opinion of a good body person.
