Hello I have run across what the seller claims to be an original 1969 Yenko Chevelle. I originally heard that is was a camaro, but later found it to be a Chevelle. I'm new to Chevrolets and know almost nothing about the Chevelle. I was wondering if there are any tell tell signs to look for that would indicate it to be an original or just another clone. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Denny, lots of things for a Yenko..should have Malibu trim..KQ coded rear. I'm pretty sure that the Yenko VIN numbers are known. Get the VIN and post it here. ..lots of knowledgable Yenko people here..here are the VIns:http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/76003/an/0/page/0#76003 Good luck..keep us posted.

Well I have what appears to be a copy of the window sticker, it shows a model 13637 Chevelle Yenko SC with the 9562 code listed and the L72 option. The vin is 136379B398582. It isnt on the list of Yenko vins so I'm still suspiscious of it's origins. The trim tag shows ST69 13637 BAL264820 BDY 59 59 PAT 356 7A B M199534. I'm still in the dark as to what all of these mean. Any help you guys can give is again greatly appreciated.

The VIN is in the range, but I dont think the L-72 option showed up anywhere. My COPO has the L-78 option on its buildsheet, but had the L-72 engine code in the motor box/ Proceed with caution..post this over at http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat= and see what they think..more knowledgable than I at Yenko and COPO stuff.
