Hi,
I have a 1964 chevelle. I do not have turn signals front and rear on the passenger side. I also dont have brake lights on passenger side of car. Everything works perfect on the driver side of the car. I was using a test light to check power. The wiring harness from the turnsignal switch in the steering column does not have any power to the wire that is running the passenger side of the car. Has power in rest of wires. I was wondering if this could indicate a bad trun signal switch or a bad ground in the car somewhere.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Barry

Take a minute and read through this:

Be forewarned there are two types of switches, AC & Guide. One is harder to find than the other (I don't remember which).

A lot of times you can bring one back from the dead with a little finesse and a gentle touch, but you'll need a steering wheel puller and some patience :D

I have a 64 with many phantom problems. All new wiring except for the ribbon cable.

One of the fixes was the OEM connector for the ribbon cable that runs under the carpeting. Back to the trunk behind the back seat then the trunk harness plugs in.

The connector plug on the firewall inside the car under the main fuse block. It was not making a good connection

I have an extra switch from my 65.... I replaced the dash harness, front harness, and rear harness so.... that pretty much cured all the electrical issues.
