Hi All;

Gee taking this apart, it seemed so easy. Now, duh... I don't remember!
Does the cradle first mount to the pump before bolting to block?
Does the pump slide into the cradle? I don't really want to disconnect hoses.
Important!! What are the bolt sizes of the cradle front mounting bolts?
Responses always welcomed!

Sometimes a pic is worth a thousand words. I would mount the cradle first. Hope this helps

Mucho Grasis(?) Pics are great. Hope you didn't go out of your way, but hey, their great.
I bagged everything, but can't identify two bolts. Alike. Thought they were front cradle bolts. Seem too big.

Does anyone know the size of the mounting bolts on a BB power steering cradle?

Thanks Redmanf1, and everyone else, the pics did trigger my memory. I knew I wasn't losinbg it. I bagged everything when disassembled. Upon reassembly, ps cradle bolts seemed a little snug. I knew those to be correct. Better to be safe than sorry. Probably engine paint in threads after touching up block. Clean threads, squirt of WD40, good to go.
Water pump done, freeze plug done, front engine block repainted, reassembled. Fresh coolant. Fired up for first time in 6 mos. Ohh man, I missed that lumpy cam!
